Step
1: Read the passage carefully
Go through
the passage once fully to understand the
main idea.
On the
second reading, underline or highlight key words/phrases.
Step
2: Decide a Title
Look for the
central idea of the passage.
Keep the
title short, clear, and meaningful
Example: If the passage is about pollution,
title could be “Causes & Effects of Pollution”.
Step
3: Identify Main Points
Break the passage into 3–4 main points
Each main
point should cover one big idea
Example: Causes / Effects / Solutions.
Step
4: Add Sub-points
Under each
main point, add 2–3 sub-points with details.
Keep them short phrases, not full sentences.

spoil the minds of young people. Therefore, it is necessary to watch television
