  Summary The writer remained in the lowest form at Harrow for nearly a year. However, this turned out to be an advantage, because while the cleverer boys studied Latin and Greek, he was taught English by Mr. Somervell, a wonderful teacher. They learned English parsing and analysis thoroughly, with a special method using different coloured inks to break sentences into parts.
