Floods Wreak Havoc in Our Locality

Bijepur, 31 July: Continuous heavy rainfall caused severe flooding in our locality last week. Roads were submerged, houses were damaged, and normal life came to a standstill. Many families shifted to safer places, while schools and markets remained closed. Rescue teams and local volunteers distributed food, drinking water, medicines, and other essential items. The district administration also arranged temporary shelters for the affected people. Although the floodwaters have started receding, many residents continue to face difficulties. The incident highlights the need for better drainage systems and effective flood management to reduce such disasters in the future.

2.Tree Plantation Programme Organised

Bhadrak, 5 July: A tree plantation programme was organised in our school to promote environmental awareness. The Principal inaugurated the programme by planting a sapling. Teachers, students, and local guests actively participated and planted more than 200 saplings on the school campus and nearby areas. The Principal spoke about the importance of trees in preventing pollution and maintaining ecological balance. Students took a pledge to protect the plants and care for them regularly. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and inspired everyone to contribute towards a greener and healthier environment.

3.Annual Sports Meet Held Successfully

Bhadrak, 20 December: The Annual Sports Meet of our school was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The event began with the lighting of the torch and the march-past by the students. Various athletic events, including races, long jump, high jump, and relay races, were organised. Students participated with great sportsmanship and determination. The winners received medals and certificates from the chief guest. In his address, the Principal encouraged students to develop discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness through sports. The programme ended with the National Anthem.

4. Blood Donation Camp Organised

Gaiselat, 18 August: A blood donation camp was organised in our locality in collaboration with the District Blood Bank. Doctors and trained medical staff supervised the camp. Many volunteers donated blood to help patients in need. Before donation, all donors underwent basic health check-ups. The organisers explained the importance of blood donation and encouraged people to donate regularly. Donors were provided with refreshments and appreciation certificates. The camp successfully collected a large number of blood units. It created awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and inspired many people to participate in such noble causes.

5.Road Accident Near School Raises Concern

Bargarh , 14 September: A serious road accident occurred near our school when a speeding motorcycle hit a cyclist during school hours. The injured persons were immediately taken to the nearest hospital by local residents. The accident caused panic among students and teachers. Police reached the spot, controlled the traffic, and began an investigation. Local people demanded speed breakers, traffic signals, and stricter enforcement of traffic rules near the school. The incident reminds everyone of the importance of careful driving and road safety, especially in school zones.

6.Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotism

Guderpali , 15 August: Independence Day was celebrated in our school with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The Principal hoisted the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Students presented patriotic songs, dances, speeches, and cultural programmes highlighting India's freedom struggle. The Principal paid tribute to the freedom fighters and urged students to become responsible citizens. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets. The programme filled everyone with pride, unity, and love for the nation.

7.Cleanliness Drive Conducted

Sohela, 2 October: Our school organised a cleanliness drive to spread awareness about hygiene and environmental cleanliness. Students and teachers cleaned classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, and nearby public places. They collected plastic waste and encouraged people to keep their surroundings clean. Posters and slogans highlighting the importance of cleanliness were displayed. The Principal appreciated the students' efforts and reminded them that cleanliness is everyone's responsibility. The campaign was highly successful and motivated people to maintain a clean and healthy environment throughout the year.

8.Science Exhibition Attracts Visitors

Bijepur, 12 November: Our school organised a science exhibition to encourage scientific thinking among students. Many innovative working models on renewable energy, robotics, environmental conservation, and smart technology were displayed. Students explained their projects confidently to the visitors and judges. Parents, teachers, and local residents appreciated the creativity and hard work of the participants. The best projects were awarded prizes. The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for students to develop scientific knowledge, creativity, and communication skills. It was a memorable and educational event.

Colourful Cultural Programme Organised

Guderpali, 10 January: A colourful cultural programme was organised in our school to showcase students' talents. The programme included group dances, songs, dramas, recitations, and instrumental performances. Students performed with great enthusiasm and confidence. Parents and invited guests highly appreciated their performances. The Principal congratulated the participants and encouraged them to take part in co-curricular activities for their overall development. The event promoted unity, creativity, and cultural values. 10. Health Awareness Camp Organised

Bhadrak, 22 September: A health awareness camp was organised in our school in collaboration with the local health department. Doctors conducted free health check-ups and advised students on balanced diet, personal hygiene, exercise, and disease prevention. Informative sessions were held on the importance of vaccination and healthy lifestyles. Students actively participated by asking questions and attending demonstrations.
