1.The Nightingale flew to the Rose-tree at night.

ରାତିରେ ନାଇଟିଙ୍ଗେଲ୍ ଗୋଲାପ ଛ ପାଖକୁ ଉଡିଗଲା 


2.She pressed her breast against a thorn and began to sing.   

ସେ ତା' ଛାତିକୁ କାଣ୍ଟାରେ ଦବାଇଲା ଏବଂ ଗାଇବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲା 


3.The Moon leaned down to listen to her song.   

ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରମା ତାର ଗୀତ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ନେଇଗଲା 


4.As she sang, a rose started to bloom on the Rose tree.

ସେ ଗାଇବା ସମୟରେ ଗୋଲାପ ଗଛରେ ଏକ ଗୋଲାପ ଫୁଟିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲା  


5.At first, the rose was pale like mist. 

ପ୍ରଥମେ ଗୋଲାପଟି କୁହୁଡି ପରି ଫିକା ଥିଲା  


6.The Tree told her to press closer, or the rose would not be ready by morning.

ଗଛ ତା'କୁ କହିଲା ଯେ,"ଆଉ ଦବାନହେଲେ ପ୍ରଭାତ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଗୋଲାପ ପୁରା ହେବ ନାହିଁ ।"

7.She sang louder, and the rose turned pink like a bride’s face.

ସେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ସ୍ୱରରେ  ଗାଇଲା, ଏବଂ ଗୋଲାପଟି ବଧୁର ମୁହଁ ପରି ଗୋଲାପୀ ହେଲା 


8.But the rose’s heart was still white because only her heart’s blood could make it red.   


କିନ୍ତୁ ଗୋଲାପର ମନ ଏବେବି ସ୍ୱେତ ଥିଲାକାରଣ ମାତ୍ର ତା' ହୃଦୟର ରକ୍ତ ଏହାକୁ

 ଲାଲ କରିପାରିବ 


9.At last, the thorn pierced her heart, and her blood made the rose deep crimson.


ଶେଷରେ କାଣ୍ଟା ତା'ର ହୃଦୟକୁ ଫୋଡିଦେଲା, ଏବଂ ତା'ର ରକ୍ତ ଗୋଲାପକୁ ଗାଢ଼ ଲାଲ କରିଦେଲା ।


10.The rose became perfect, but the Nightingale died in the grass with the thorn in her heart.
