PIE-CHART

 

The pie chart below shows that the mode of transport the people of your town use to go to work. Write a paragraph interpreting the information contained in the chart.



Ans- The pie chart shows the mode of transport the people of Bargarh use to go to work. It shows that 20% people go to work by motor bike. They are usually young people. 20% people go to work by bus. They are elderly people and low-paid servants. 20% people go to work on bicycle.15% people go to work on scooters. They are clerk-class people. 10% people go to work by car. They are officer-rank people having good position, good earning source. 7% people go to work on foot. They are labourer class people. 5% people go to work by taxi, they hire this vehicle and the office pay the fare. 3% people go to work by auto-rickshaw. They are poor employees and the office is a little way off their house.  


 

Ø A survey was made on the use of types of chairs used today by people. What people said is presented in the form of a pie-chart. Read it and transfer it in a paragraph.





Ans- Now-a-days highly sophisticated chairs are used in the houses, offices, banquet halls meetings. A study has revealed that 45% of chairs used by people is plastic chairs. The poor people use them because they look attractive. They are cheap and easily transferable. 30% chairs belong to wooden chair category. The aristocratic people, rich people use them in their drawing rooms. They use attractive teak wood chairs with attractive design, colour. 5% chairs falls into cane chair category. The rich people use them. During marriage cane chairs are given to daughters. 20% chairs belong to steel chair category. They are costly. They are used in offices, VIP functions. People use cushioned chairs, dining chairs which are of different materials.

In 1980, 30 people out of 1000, lived in buildings, 220 lived in tiled houses and 750 people in thatched houses.

In 1990, out of 1000 people, 180 people lived in buildings, 270 lived in tiled houses and 540 people lived in thatched houses.

In the year 2000, out of 1000 people, 420 people lived in buildings, 250 people lived in tiled houses and 330 people lived in thatched houses.

In the year 2010, out of 1000 people, 650 people in buildings, 210 people lived in tiled houses and 140 people lived in thatched houses.

The table shows that the number of building dwellers is increasing and the number of thatched houses dwellers is decreasing. It is because the standard of living of people is increasing. People are now educated, cultured, modern, rich. The Govt. is providing momentary assistance to the poor families so that they are making buildings.



👉The following bar chart shows the number of bicycles and motorcycles used by 100 people in the years 1980, 1990, and 2000.


 

The diagram shows the number of bicycles and motorcycles used by 100 people in the years 1980, 1990, and 2000. In 1980, bicycles were much more popular with 250 users, while motorcycles were used by only 50 people. By 1990, bicycle users dropped to 220, but motorcycle users increased significantly to 150. This shows a rising interest in motorcycles as people preferred faster transport. In 2000, bicycles reached their highest at 300, while motorcycles rose sharply to 250. The trend highlights that both bicycles and motorcycles became more common over time. While bicycles remained widely used, motorcycles grew rapidly in popularity. This indicates a shift in lifestyle and transport choices. People were increasingly adopting motorcycles for convenience. Overall, the chart reflects changing
